How to Make These Bacon Skewers
- Preheat oven to 400F.
- Line jellyroll pan with foil. Coat wire rack with non-stick spray or butter and place on top. Soak skewers.
- Wrap bacon around skewers or skew onto skewers like an accordion and place on wire rack.
- Bake 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a medium sauce pan over medium-low heat, melt butter.
- Add brown sugar and corn syrup. Whisk until bubby and sugar has dissolved.
- Whisk in heavy cream and vanilla. Remove from heat.
- Remove bacon from the oven and brush with caramel glaze. Return to oven and bake 5 minutes.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle with sea salt and serve.
If you don’t have a wire rack, use your cookie cooling rack like I did!
Tips
- Spray wire rack to help prevent sticking. My favorite release spray works beautifully for this!
- Depending on how “done” you like your bacon, watch these carefully if you’d like a crispier finish. Turn and bake up to 20 minutes to crisp them further, prior to adding the caramel sauce.
